Different Forms Of Government
What is communism?
Communism is a political and economic system in which the major productive society such as mines and farms are owned by the public or the state. The wealth is divided among its citizens equally or it issplit according to individual need. Communism derived from German political ideologist and philosopher, Karl Marx, andhe first country to become communist was the Soviet Union [or USSR]. Communism is basically a society where everyone in it receiveshe same and an equal amount of benefits that result from labour. In a communists mind, a perfect world is where everybody has food; shelter and all forms of oppression are lost. It is a government designed to let the poor rise up to equal status to the wealthy and mid class. To achieve this, everybody is brought up or down [depending on which way you look at it] to the same
productive goods, meaning no one can own their own business because the
Government owns everything.
What is a republic?
A Republic is very similar to a Democracy but he people are given more freedom of speech compared to other systems of Governing, as the people [like you and me] are the ones who decide will be our leader.
These elections are done democratically, though as many parts of the systems of the Republic are done in a Democratic way. Because the people choose their leader, this means that to stay in power, the government needs to provide wealth to the people to keep them happy, meaning their society is economically strong. They are run by a restricted amount of people, represented by one person, and they make the decisions for the country. However, elections can be based on the character of the leader themselves, not how good a job they are going to do running a country. People may vote for a certain person because they are this race or they don’t like this religion. A popular example of a Republic is the United States of America.
What is Democracy?
Democracy is a form of government in which people, either directly or indirectly takes part in the governing. People are able to do this in Australia as we are a democratic country and places such as Russia and this means that they are communist country and they don’t vote for people to run their country and they have to go with
the flow and take what is given to them. We are a lucky country because we are given many rights that none of us should take for granted.
What is a Constitutional
Monarchy?
A constitutional monarchy is a system of government that a monarch acts as head of the country. However, they are limited in what they do by a constitution, a legal document stating the rules and actions of how they should rule. This is different from an absolute monarchy, which gives the monarchs absolute power, but a constitutional has restricted rights and freedom.
Constitutional monarchies usually use a parliamentary system, meaning they have a parliament but the monarchs have special duties and powers. Alongside the monarch there is conventionally a Prime Minister. A well-known example of thisis the United Kingdom.
