About Chinese language
Some of you may be wondering how many recorded dialects there are in China. Well let me tell you that it is very hard to count how many dialects exist, but they can be roughly classified using the seven large language groups. Each group consists of a large amount of dialects. These are the seven large language groups: Putonghua, Hakka, Min, Wu, Gan, Yue, Xiang. These language groups are frequentlty spoken by the Han people, which represents about 92% of China's population. These recorded dialects are spoken all around China. Mandarin Chinese is themost spoken language in the world used every day by more than a billion people.It is the second most popular language on the internet and has the highest growth rate among the languages studied in the US and Japan. Chinese is one of the 6 languages of communication in the UN.
